How Does A Circuit Board Work?

The working principle of the circuit board:


The board-based insulation material is used to isolate the conductive layer of the copper foil on the surface, so that the current flows along various pre-designed routes and completes functions such as work, amplification, attenuation, modulation, demodulation, and coding.


Circuit board principle: structure


The circuit board is mainly composed of pads, vias, mounting holes, wires, components, connectors, fillers, and electrical boundaries. The common layer structure includes single layer PCB, double layer PCB and multi-layer PCB. The main functions of each component are as follows:


Pads: Metal holes used to solder component pins.


Via: There are metal vias and non-metallic vias, where metal vias are used to connect component pins between layers.


Mounting hole: Used to fix the circuit board.


Conductor: An electrical network copper film used to connect component pins.


Connectors: Components used to connect between circuit boards.


Fill: The copper used for the ground network can effectively reduce the impedance.


Electrical Boundary: Used to determine the size of the circuit board. Components on all circuit boards must not exceed this boundary.
